This week advance copies of my new book, co-authored with Gerardo Marti, The Deconstructed Church: Understanding Emerging Christianity, arrived in Belfast. Although the book won’t officially be published until May, I got a special dispensation from Oxford University Press to sell 25 advance copies at Pete Rollins’ “Holy Ghost” event, a “boutique arts and theo-poetic event,” set for 27-30 April in Belfast.
The copies will be sold for a discount price of £15 (the book’s list price is £23).
I will be speaking at the event. The provisional title of my talk is “Ikon, Belfast, and the Un-asked Questions of Emerging Christianity” (exact date, time and location to be confirmed).
This unique four-day experience, spanning multiple venues in the cultural heart of Belfast, has been crafted by Peter as a means of delving into the heart of his work in a creative and engaging way.
“Holy Ghosts” is a ticketed event, but there are three types of tickets available:
1. A full ticket – This will give you access to all daytime and events
2. A Fringe Pass – Aimed at local people who are busy during the day, this gives access to all evening events.
3. Individual ticketed events – If someone wants to just come to one evening event this will also be OK, (events will be individually priced)
