Clonard Monastery in Belfast will host activities celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Second Vatican Council, 20-23 November. The events have a particular focus on Christian Unity, building on Clonard’s long-standing witness with its Unity Pilgrims and Reconciliation Project activities.
November 2014 also marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Unity Pilgrims, who visited their first Protestant congregation on Remembrance Sunday 1994. And it is the first anniversary this November of Fr Alec Reid’s death.
