Thomas Merton Society Retreat, 11 June 2011

image Northern Ireland’s still relatively new Thomas Merton Society will host a retreat on Saturday 11 June 2011 at Corrymeela Knocklayd. There are still some places available for the event, which features an appealing programme:

10.00     Arrival & Coffee.

10.20     Welcome, Introductions and a Brief Period of Silent Reflection.

10.30     Film – Merton: A Film Biography (by Paul Wilkes & Audrey L. Glynn).
11.30     Time for Discussion – Personal Perspectives/Reflections on Love.

12.30     Quiet Time.

13.00     Lunch.

14.00     Short Walk (Weather Permitting!), or Continued Discussion.

15.00     Coffee.

15.10     Time for Meditation/Reflection.

15.30     Quiet Time.

16.00     Depart.

The cost for the retreat will be £15 per person (a bargain!) and will include teas/coffees/biscuits and lunch.
