Northern Ireland’s still relatively new Thomas Merton Society will host a retreat on Saturday 11 June 2011 at Corrymeela Knocklayd. There are still some places available for the event, which features an appealing programme:
10.00 Arrival & Coffee.
10.20 Welcome, Introductions and a Brief Period of Silent Reflection.
10.30 Film – Merton: A Film Biography (by Paul Wilkes & Audrey L. Glynn).
11.30 Time for Discussion – Personal Perspectives/Reflections on Love.
12.30 Quiet Time.
14.00 Short Walk (Weather Permitting!), or Continued Discussion.
15.10 Time for Meditation/Reflection.
15.30 Quiet Time.
The cost for the retreat will be £15 per person (a bargain!) and will include teas/coffees/biscuits and lunch.
