How can a person stay in an organisation he seems to despise. If it was a political party he would be asked to resign or shown the door.I hope he finds personal peace for he sounds like a man tormented. Many years ago he was filmed crying on a programme about the difficulties of priesthood and right enought it coincided with the publication of a book of his.Is he all he professes to be? Has he a residence on the grounds of RTE ?. I naively thought he might have a go at RTE over their appallingly unprofessional/biased coverage of the Popes UK visit. Not at all. It was full of his usual self-righteous/nauseating/pc/ pseudo anger. He was on the late late show last Friday night AGAIN (6 months after the last time) because he had his book to plug. His hair is as dark as it's ever been and he's a 64 year old man. How does vanity tie in with his 'tortured saint' image he's trying to create for us all. Fr Brian talks well. He says all the stuff that the very liberal people love to hear BUT he has never stood up for anything in his life. Whatever way the winds blows from any angle he blows along with it. Why do we NEVER hear him talk about the worldwide crime that is abortion for instance?? No. Attacking the church, he has conveniently sheltered in all his life, is all he does. If it really is all that bad then WHY does he not leave. He only liked one pope ever. He doesn't agree with celibacy, male priests, in fact any of the 'uncool' ways of the church. He could leave but then he'd never sell a book again or get on the shows on radio or tv here or in England (where they think he's an actual catholic priest, innocent fools). He has first hand knowledge of the trauma that those victims have gone through and are still suffering. I have spoken to others and they agree that you Fr Brian are the person that could help. Your courage is to be admired, you have been out spoken with the truth.
