Belfast 4 Corners Festival Set for 15 Jan-1 Feb

4cornersFollowing on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Belfast’s 4 Corners Festival has announced a stimulating series of discussions, story-telling events, poetry readings, prayers, and more – 15 January-1 February 2014.

The festival happens in and around the well-established, world-wide Week of Prayer for Christian Unity (18-25 January), the theme of which this year is, ‘Is Christ Divided?’

In releasing the schedule, the organisers said:

We are delighted to release the initial information about 4 Corners Festival 2014. We will be updating and filling in the details over the next few weeks, but already you will see that our second Festival is exciting, imaginative and engaging. As you start jotting dates into your diary notice the “stories” theme this year. Belfast’s four corners have a variety of stories, and often we are keener to shout our own story than to stop and listen to the others. This year, 4 Corners Festival hopes to give space for us all to listen to the stories which we think we know but have perhaps never heard from the actual storytellers. We hope to bring a grace to that space so that we can understand all of our corners and bring them together in one big eclectic story of OUR city!

The full schedule of events is now available on the 4 Corners website, and reproduced below.

More information will continue to be communicated through the website, Facebook page, and Twitter (@4cornersbelfast).
